Rakesh Radhakrishnan is an accomplished biotechnologist with a master’s degree in biotechnology and specialized expertise in R&D product formulation and development. He has honed his skills through significant contributions at the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Mysore, India, where he primarily worked on novel therapeutic peptides with immunomodulatory, ACE inhibitory, and anti-inflammatory properties. 

Mr. Rakesh is pursuing a PhD in Biological Science with integrated AI-ML and Neuromorphic Computing at M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore. He has qualified GATE in Life Science and serves as a member and scientific reviewer for international journals, including the American Society for Microbiology and the Argentinean Journal of Microbiology (Elsevier). 

His core competencies include product formulation, bioactive peptides, and proteins, gut eubiosis, and expertise in prebiotic fibers, probiotics, and postbiotic formulation. He also utilizes advanced research tools, such as AI for microbiome data interpretation and synthetic biology.  

In August 2024, Mr. Rakesh joined FTSI to apply his extensive research biotechnology expertise in developing new product formulations with therapeutic benefits. Currently, he is focused on exploring prebiotic fibers, postbiotics, and protein development, employing innovative approaches to create tastier, healthier, and more sustainable food products.
