Dr. Kenji Sugisaki
Visiting Associate Professor
Dr. Kenji Sugisaki received a BSc (2003), a MSc (2004), and a PhD (2006) from Osaka City University, Japan. After that he worked at Osaka City University as a research associate (2006–2008), a postdoctoral researcher (2008–2013), a special appointment assistant professor (2013–2016), and a special appointment lecturer (2016–2020).
His main research interests are developments of quantum algorithms for quantum chemical calculations of open shell molecules carrying unpaired electrons, theoretical understanding of molecular and electronic structures of open shell molecules including reactive intermediates and unusual molecules, establishments of theoretical methods for sophisticated quantum chemical calculations of spin Hamiltonian parameters such as spin–spin and spin–orbit contributions of zero-field splitting tensors.
