In a significant achievement for TCG CREST, four of our researchers have been awarded the Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). This prestigious grant supports early-career scientists with ₹60 lakh in funding over three years, providing them with the flexibility and resources to advance groundbreaking research. With selected recipients each year, this honour underscores the excellence of our researchers and their contributions to scientific innovation.
The awardees and their research projects are:
- Anant Jain from the Centre for High Impact Neuroscience and Translational Applications (CHINTA) for his project titled, “Role of norepinephrine in hippocampal behavioral time scale synaptic plasticity and spatial navigation.”
- Angshul Majumdar from the Institute for Advancing Intelligence (IAI) for his project, “Disaggregating Air Pollution: Identifying Key Contributors to Air Quality Index Degradation.”
- Sayan Chakraborty from IAI for his project, “Mathematical Aspects of Quantum Error Correction.”
- Kingshuk Roy from the Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (RISE), for his project, “Strategic Design of Next-Generation Anode-Less Alkali Metal Batteries for Sustainable Electric Transportation and Advanced Household Electronics.”
