Open position to work on Absolute Quantum Gravimeter  in CQuERE, TCG CREST

Job Title: Research Associate 1

No of post: 1 (One)

Job Requirement: To develop and assist experimental setup for Absolute Quantum Gravimeter.

Qualification: PhD in Physics/ Engineering or allied areas.

Experience / Expertise:  

  • Knowledge of experiments on laser cooling and trapping.
  • Hands on experience on the Diode lasers, precision optical components like mirrors, waveplates, optical fibers etc.
  • Experience in laser beam characterization, beam collimation, frequency stabilization etc.
  • Working experience on Acousto optic modulator and electro optic modulator with their drivers.
  • Knowledge of basic electronics interfacing and control system for the experiments.
  • GUI development and interfacing with instruments.
  • PCB designing and schematic capture.
  • Working experience in high precision optics laboratory.
  • Knowledge of Eagle, LabView, Phython, SolidWorks etc. is an added advantage.

Salary: As per CSIR/ UGC norms

Tenure:  Initially for 2 years but can be extended based on performance and project requirement.
