From molecules to mind

Brain disorders represent a growing global public health threat, underscoring the need for new interdisciplinary approaches in discovery neuroscience that can be translated into effective therapeutic interventions. The Centre for High Impact Neuroscience and Translational Applications (CHINTA) has been newly established to meet these challenges by harnessing India’s strengths in the physical, computational, engineering, and biomedical sciences.

CHINTA is excited to announce its inaugural symposium on January 18-20, 2024, in Kolkata, India. Renowned experts from around the globe will travel to Kolkata to share their cutting-edge research, offering a comprehensive view of recent advances in both basic and clinical neuroscience, and their vision for the new Center. Attendees will get to engage in thought-provoking discussions, talks, and poster sessions. Spanning a wide spectrum of exciting findings from molecular and synaptic neuroscience to systems and behavioral neuroscience, this symposium will provide an environment to foster connections and potential future collaborations. We encourage undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers from theoretical and experimental backgrounds to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

Date: January 18-20, 2024

Venue: Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Kolkata, India
