As India’s population ages, neurodegenerative diseases are becoming an increasingly significant public health concern. There is an urgent need for new therapies that can extend and enhance the quality of life for affected individuals. The discovery of new treatments for brain disorders faces numerous critical challenges, underscoring the importance of innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to translate neuroscience research into practical therapies.
To tackle these challenges on both national and global fronts, the Center for High Impact Neuroscience and Translational Applications (CHINTA) has been established. Situated in a cutting-edge research facility in Kolkata and supported by an extensive network of international collaborations, CHINTA is addressing these crucial gaps in the field of translational neuroscience leveraging state of the art techniques across multiple disciplines.
