Dr. Arpita Paikar

Dr. Arpita Paikar is an accomplished organic chemist with over a decade of research experience in peptide chemistry, organic oscillatory reaction networks, supramolecular chemistry, synthetic organic materials, and their applications. She completed her PhD at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata in 2017, focusing on peptide-based nanomaterials. She then pursued postdoctoral research at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where she specialized in organic oscillatory reaction networks from 2018 to 2022.
Dr. Paikar has authored 18 international research articles in esteemed journals, showcasing her deep understanding of molecular structures, reaction mechanisms, synthesis techniques, characterization methods, and reaction kinetics.
In June 2023, Dr. Paikar joined FTSI to apply her extensive knowledge of organic chemistry to address challenges in food science and flavor chemistry. Her current work exploring alternative proteins and development of innovative approaches to create tastier, healthier, and more sustainable food products. With a unique background that combines rigorous chemical research with a passion for food science, Dr. Paikar aims to make significant contributions to the development of sustainable and innovative food solutions.
