Announcement, Ph.D. Programme 2024

Under the aegis of the TCG CREST-AcSIR Agreement for promoting research and academic collaboration, IAI is inviting applications from interested candidates for the PhD in Science and Engineering. The PhD degree will be awarded by Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) and the PhD program shall be guided by the rules and regulations of AcSIR PhD ordinances.

The IAI PhD Program at TCG CREST was initiated in 2020 and combines coursework and original research. The program is thesis based. At present thirty eight research fellows are pursuing their PhD at IAI.

Research Focus:

Our current research areas are:

• Translational Mathematics: Functional Analysis, Operator Algebra, (Non-Associative ) Algebra, Commutative Algebra, Topology, Graph Theory, Combinatorics, Algebraic Geometry, and application areas.
• Cryptography and Security: Lightweight Cryptography, Quantum Cryptography and Quantum Cryptanalysis, Post Quantum Cryptology, Block-chain, Provable Security, Cloud Computation and Security, Cryptanalysis, Leakage Resilient Cryptography.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Image Analysis, Speech Processing, Medical Imaging, Multi-agent Systems, Combinatorial Optimization, Convex Optimization.
  
  

Eligibility Criteria:

• Science: All students who have successfully completed or are in their final year pursuing M.Sc / M.Stat / M.Math or equivalent degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, or other allied streams may apply in Mathematical and Information Science (MIS). Candidates having 60% (throughout the academic career 10, 12, Graduation, and Masters) will be shortlisted. Reservation rules will be applied as per norms.
  
• Engineering: All students who have successfully completed or are in their final year pursuing M.E / M.Tech / M.Engg or equivalent Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology ( following a four-year engineering/technology or 4/5 year science degree ) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Electrical Engineering or other allied streams may apply in Engineering. Candidates having 60% (throughout the academic career 10, 12, Graduation, and Masters) will be shortlisted. Reservation rules will be applied as per norms.
  
  

Selection Process:

• Channel 1 (Direct Interview): Eligible Candidates having CSIR JRF or NBHM fellowship, will be called for an interview directly.
  
• Channel 2 (Written Test + Interview): All other eligible candidates will have to appear in a written test followed by an interview organized by TCG CREST.
